“The relation that exists between the mind and the body is very intimate. When one is affected, the other sympathizes. The condition of the mind affects the health to a far greater degree than many realize. Many of the diseases from which men suffer are the result of mental depression. Grief, anxiety, discontent, remorse, guilt, distrust, all tend to break down the life forces and to invite decay and death.”

Amanda Anguish, LMFT is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist at Beautiful Minds Medical in Northern California. Right away, it may not seem obvious that she’s worked with recovering addicts and at-risk teens, but those were some of her best years that taught her how to love those who are difficult. Now, she works in private practice focusing on depression and anxiety with an emphasis on thoughts and core beliefs while speaking around the country and world at churches and conferences on true psychology. She is also a consulting therapist for the Nedley Depression and Anxiety Recovery Program and one of the experts on The Brain People Podcast. Amanda believes the Church won’t be ready for Jesus’ coming until we have a right picture of God. And she well knows, sometimes people have a hard time seeing God as He really is due to the lies of Satan. It’s her prayer that God will use her to uncover and correct those lies that keep us from loving a very lovable God and the souls He’s called us to win for His kingdom.
